File this one under "Things that make you go 'Hmm'". Written as a warning to those living in the future, Orwell's 1984 describes a chilling almost-reality in which free thought is nearly abolished, war is a constant, and the very minds of the members of society are being controlled by the government.
(short-but to the point-good for a BOC pass.)

I've read a lot of books in my life, and I will tell you this is the second scariest book i have proably ever read. The scariest is IT by Stephen King.
Anyway, this book was brilliantly done, and the worst part: it could happen. The plot could happen...
